Ingredients:


  1. 1 pound (450g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  2. 1 onion, thinly sliced
  3. 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  4. 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  5. 2 cloves garlic, minced
  6. 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  7. 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  8. Salt and pepper to taste
  9. 4 large flour tortillas
  10. 2 cups shredded cheese (such as cheddar or Monterey Jack)
  11. Cooking oil for sautéing


For the dipping sauce:


  1. 1/2 cup sour cream
  2. 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  3. 1 tablespoon lime juice
  4. 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
  5. Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions:


  • In a bowl, marinate the sliced beef with soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Set aside for about 15-20 minutes.
  • Heat a little cooking oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Sauté the marinated beef until cooked and browned. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
  • In the same pan, sauté the sliced onion and bell peppers until they become tender and slightly caramelized. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, prepare the dipping sauce by combining sour cream, mayonnaise, lime juice, chopped cilantro (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix well and set aside.
  • Heat a clean non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat.
  • Place one flour tortilla on the heated pan and sprinkle a generous amount of shredded cheese on half of the tortilla.
  • Layer the cooked beef, sautéed onion, and bell peppers on top of the cheese.
  • Fold the other half of the tortilla over the filling to create a half-moon shape.
